  • 8 slices Hatfield® Extra Thick Cut Maple Brown Sugar Bacon
  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 4 hamburger rolls
  • 2 tsp Montreal seasoning
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups onions, sliced
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 12 fl oz beer, preferably lager
  • Preheat oven to 375°F .
  • Arrange bacon on a cookie tray with slices just touching each other. Cook for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Transfer bacon to paper towels to drain.
  • In sauté pan over medium to high heat, melt butter and add onions. Cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add beer and sugar to pan. Cook for 10 minutes, until the beer is cooked out and absorbed into onions.
  • In a small bowl, mix ground beef and seasoning. Form 4-6 oz patties.
  • Preheat grill to medium to high heat.
  • Cook burgers to desired temperature. Add cheese for last few minutes.
  • Arrange burger, bacon, onions, and serve on your favorite roll.
