  • 3 lb Hatfield® Recipe Essentials Ground Pork
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded Italian blend cheese
  • 1½ cups plain bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup sliced fresh basil
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Grease a nonstick muffin tin.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combined pork, 1 cup marinara sauce, 1½ cups cheese, bread crumbs, egg, half the basil, Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix well.
  • Portion mixture into muffin tin, using about 5 oz per muffin. Top each muffin with 1 Tbsp marinara, 1 slice of tomato, and ½ Tbsp cheese.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until muffins are bubbling around the edges and cheese is golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, warm remaining marinara sauce.
  • Carefully remove muffins from pan, place on a serving platter, garnish with remaining basil, and serve with warm marinara sauce.
