Ingredients:
  • 4 Premium Reserve Pork® Frenched Bone-In Pork Chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cups day-old bread (French baguette), diced
  • 1⁄4 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons celery, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons onion, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Granny Smith apple, chopped
  • 1⁄2 cup chicken broth
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat; add chops and brown on each side. Place chops in a baking dish.
  • Using the same skillet, add butter, celery, onion and apple. Sauté until softened. Place bread into a bowl along with celery mixture and broth.
  • Slice into the fleshy side of each chop to create a pocket in each.
  • Stuff heaping mounds of stuffing mixture into pork chops.
  • Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Uncover and continue baking 10 minutes longer or until juices run clear, to an internal temperature of 155ºF.
